Just curious, what does Michigan have to do to get off your 8 line? lol You’ve been constantly the bracket with them the lowest of almost anyone on Bracket Matrix. What gives?

Seems like a combination of things, the ones that stand out are non-conference SOS, conference strength, and a new parameter I’ve added this season for Top 50 RPI non-conference wins, which Michigan doesn’t have any. Often, when I create new factors in the formula, they’re over-emphasized the first season and take a few seasons to calibrate correctly. You’ll notice that I have OSU consistently lower than everyone else as well, and they also don’t have any Top 50 non-conference wins.

Most likely my formula has them lower than they should be, but I don’t like to change it during the season if at all possible.

NC State a 7 and Michigan an 8 = credibility lost

Michigan is now a lock for a 4 seed – outside chance for a 3
